BACKGROUND
Before joining Turnbull Mylne, Kerry was working closely with a former barrister in a range of matters, including family law, domestic violence and commercial litigation.
Kerry had entered a six-word story competition on Facebook, organised by Swinburne University. The prize was a scholarship to study a single unit at Swinburne University. She won the competition and completed the unit.
Kerry was then awarded a Certificate of Academic Achievement for receiving the highest marks in the Unit. This inspired her to study law at the University of New England as a mature-aged student.
After a semester of studying the Bachelor of Legal Studies, Kerry achieved a GPA high enough to transfer to the three-year Bachelor of Laws program and graduated with some High Distinction marks.
PASSION
Kerry is a single mother with a very supportive family. She was late to the law but since she found it, she loves it. She has life experience, including experiencing domestic violence, which places her into a prime position with knowledge and is well equipped to empower others going through a similar situation. She is passionate about finding resolutions for people, not just outcomes. Kerry also believes that everyone is entitled to a fair hearing, and she has the courage to fight for those that cannot fight for themselves.
